So I visited the magic Pick Me Up last week and it did not disappoint, (obviously!). Let me apologise in advance for the horrific quality of my photos (as well as the lack off), my iPhone really isn’t my best pal right now. I’m always guaranteed to be shaking with excitement to get to PMU but I was even more so this year. Being away from a creative enviroment for such a long time is really taking it’s toll on me, so the buzz I got walking into Somerset House this year was a little much to handle! Oh and i was reunited with my best pal Jessica Winnie which made it all ten times more exciting…
The standard of work was so unbeliveably high that it would take my years to talk about everything, so here are me number one’s this year, enjoy x

First things first, WOO YAY HANDSOME FRANK! Definitely one of my top favourite Illustration agencies right now, Handsome Frank showcased some absolute gems this year (shock right?).

I instantly fell for this gorgeous little piece by Sarah Tanat-Jones. Any two-colour print is bound to make me wobble at the knees, but this beaut took it a whole new level. Who would have thought chicken shops could be so god damn dreamy, eh?
Hero of Switzerland was full to the brim with bright, in your face colours, pretty little trinkets and hand decorated bric-a-brac. Sounds right up my street, no? I really wish I had some more photos to show off just how amazing the world of Hero of Switzerland was, and is!
One of my favourite was this quirky little print, by Becky Liddiard.

Everybody loves a little laugh, right? And this colour palette is to die! Plus type, type, type! I don’t know wether its the use of hand drawn type, the quirky wobbly line, or the naughty subject matter but I’m seriously in love with this print and am kicking myself for not buying one, what was I thinking walking away?!
So it’s safe to say Pick Me Up 2014 really has given my back my creative buzz and has definitely got my juices flowing once again, ready to draw, draw, draw! So fingers crossed for bigger and brighter things to come, only once I’ve been out and treated myself to a whole new set of materials of course, I meant it’d be rude not to!
